The best in the series so far

I really don't know how Robert does it. This has been a complex story arc over six books which draws to an epic and fabulous conclusion. And I ask myself how it is that, despite having given us 16 (yep 16) books with Sienna Nealon in them, the writing isn't jaded, and the plot lines fresh. And he still manages to throw in a surprise (or 20) .

I sit here, along for the ride, and loving every single minute. This is, I think, the best yet in the series. I don't want to say more for fear of #spoilers. But. In case you didn't already know it, Sienna is a bad ass. BAD ASS I tell you.

Robert Crane does it again!!!

There is nothing better than opening your Kindle and finding that your next Robert Crane novel has arrived. You find yourself contemplating taking the day off, so you can answer the questions from the previous book. Vengeful is yet another success in the continuing saga of Sienna, the Girl in the Box and now Out of the Box. Robert Crane does not disappoint as he continues the suspense and excitement of the next installment in The Girl Out of the Box series. As with the earlier installments in this series, you find yourself thinking you know where he is going with the story line when suddenly he hits you out of left field and you can’t help but be impressed. You find yourself both frustrated and enthused with his expertise in storytelling. He truly does think out the box as he directs you exactly where he wants you to be. Well worth the read and leaves you eagerly anticipating and wondering what he might come up with in the next book and counting the days until it is available (February 17th). Just as with his Sanctuary series, his excellence in weaving a compelling story shines through and the reader can only sit back and enjoy the ride.

What a useful and informative book.

A freind gave this to me for a present and I was at first dubious. When am I going to find time to read a book on networking? But I picked it up and couldn't put it down.

The book is written in an easy to ready format, with many real life stories and examples. It walks you through the entire process from understanding the nature of networking and networks to skills and approaches to enhance your own. I highly recommend this book.

Fantastic Read

Honestly, I chose “The Feathered Bone” because it was one of the choices that was still offered as a “real life, hold in my hand, tangible” book. After reading through the first few pages, I wondered if I would like this story because I felt that the author’s descriptions of the surroundings and goings-on bogged down the tale. But, I muscled through. And I am glad I did.
“The Feathered Bone” addresses a few of the tragic issues facing our Country today. One of those is the atrocity of human trafficking. The author weaves together a story that prompts the reader to sit on the edge of his seat. But, it’s not a story for the faint of heart.
The horror of human trafficking coupled with an unexpected tragedy, brought tears to my eyes. In fact, at one point I laid the book aside to pick up a few groceries at the store. As I pushed the cart up and down the aisles, I hoped the scene I left was only a horrific nightmare. Yes, the author did that good of story telling to draw me in.
I look forward to reading other books by Julie Cantrell.

Finally!! This book has changed my life. True Eye Opener

This book has helped me to understand so much about myself, the people I grew up with as a child that were supposed to be "parents", and about life in general. There are plenty of case histories she shares within the book that made me understand that I wasn't the only one and that dysfunctional families are more common than most people are comfortable realizing. I recommend this book for anyone, whether or not you have toxic parents, because 9 times out of 10 there are people in your life who do come from toxic and dysfunctional families. This could be your spouse, your neighbor, your friends, your boss, coworkers, loved ones.... It was very painful and uncomfortable to read, and there were many times I had to put the book down for several days, because it was too much to deal with, but Dr. Susan Forward's compassion throughout the book drew me back in whenever I was ready and had integrated more of the pain work. No matter where you are in life at this time, there IS hope and you CAN heal from the past and enjoy a higher quality of life.

#1 book for ALL recovery programs

I recommend this book to every one in ANY 12 step recovery program. I have used it & the 1st step took 90 pages alone, that's how THOROUGH a job this workbook does at helping one build a foundation in recovery. The entire book is 300 pages with LOTS of room to write! I use this with sponsee/sponsor relationships. It covers all addictions whether it is food, sex, alcohol or drugs, relationships, gambling, you name it! It has a very balanced approach to help one see their own powerlessness over becoming an addict in the 1st place & then helps one DO SOMETHING about it. It explores abuse histories for those like me who have suffered all forms of abuse & trauma as a child. FREE Yourself, finally, from the demons of your past that keep you in that shame/addiction cycle. This is the ONLY 12 step workbook that IS as gentle as it says it is, with plenty of breaks. Get to know the you that you have always known you could be, you know, the one who wasn't allowed to EXIST as a child. Words can't express what a miracle this WORKbook has been in my recovery. I've done 1st steps before, but never so completely. For the 1st time, I truly understand & accept powerlessness, and I owe it to the 90 pages of self-discovery this book gifted me with.... Get 2 copies because once everyone sees it, they want one too. Many paths, one journey.

Excellent & Practical book for people in process of healing

When one is in the process of recovery, it is sometimes hard to think of different aspects of the concept talked about in the room such as: denial, higher power, etc. Carnes, thourgh his numerous exercises, offers the steps necessary to move through the process of recovery as well as how to proceed, what areas to look at and issues to explore. Highly recommended!

This book takes anyone through the 12 steps. It is a workbook for the addict and/or the coadict. There are many numerous useful exercises and helpful information. I have had this book recomended to me over and over again, and I recomend it for anyone in recovery.

Better than the previous books from this author, but not by much. Again, a short story, concentrated around the sex, with little to no foreplay/plot. The characters meet and they're ready to do it all, just because. It isn't called a conquest, if both sides are willing from the get-go. The descriptions felt better, although there's still a lot to improve. Some hint of a story, intrigue, at the end, supposedly to span between the next books. But it felt week.

Amazing book, anyone doing statistics should buy and read this.

This is an amazing book that is not appreciated enough. Finally broke down and actually spent the money to buy it because it is so valuable. Every student, professor or researcher doing any sort of research that uses statistics. Absolutely critical to understanding and interpreting modern statistics. I was able to read through this book and understand what Cohen was talking about after an undergraduate statistics course. Really simple to understand and really able to see the implications of the effect size. Also, you realize that the p-value is a really meaningless score! Best of luck to all!

The equations in the Kindle version of this book are so small (4 point type???) as to make reading the book all but hopeless. I own the classic hardback version, which--of course--does not suffer from this all-too-common problem with equations on Kindles in my experience.

This is an amazingly useful book for medical students

It provides a clear and concise explanation of cardiac electrophysiology, with clinical correlations of arrhythmias and the drugs used to treat them. It also has sections on ischemic heart disease, congestive heart failure and a number of related subjects. I always had problems with electrophysiology especially, and was completely bewildered by arrhythmias until I found this book. The only down side is that it may or may not be detailed enough in the nitpicky things that certain professors like to test on, but used in conjunction with class notes, it's a gem. It is a very well-written introduction to and overview of heart function and dysfunction.
